She is a first generation college student and the first Latina appointed to oversee the 23-campus CSU system. She had previously served as president of CSU Fullerton and CSU Dominguez Hills.
Alexandra Papadopoulou, a distinguished member of the Greek Foreign Service who was a Fulbright Foreign Student from Greece, has been appointed as the country’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Since 2020, she has represented her country as the Ambassador of Greece to the United States, the first woman to serve in that role.
Fulbright-Nehru Fellow Anchal Sharma presented her research on assistive technology to improve inclusion in science and math education at the National Science Foundation, on the first day of Prime Minister Modi’s visit in Washington.
