On November 12, 2021, the United States Educational Foundation in India will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Fulbright Program with the opening of the art exhibit “Reciprocation - American Fulbright Artists and India/Collaborations & Connections.” The exhibit opens on November 12, 2021 and will continue until December 8, 2021.

This show focuses on the works of ten American Fulbright artists who have had significant interactions with Indian artists that were initiated through their Fulbright programs and, in some cases, continued long after. Each of the American artists has, in turn, selected an Indian artist to participate, one with whom they had an artistic synergy or worked on collaborative projects. This exhibition will demonstrate the impact the Fulbright experience had on American artists that included cross-cultural engagements and relationships that created an ongoing cross-cultural dialogue between Indian and American artists. View the exhibit catalogue here.

Along with works of art, this exhibition will include written testimonials from the artists underscoring how the Fulbright experience generated enduring relationships and creative engagements between American and Indian artists.

The exhibition was initiated and organized by Kathryn Myers, Professor of Art at The University of Connecticut, who received Fulbright Fellowships in 2002, 2012 and 2019.
