Internationalization of Romanian Higher Education: The Role of the Fulbright Program

04/12/2021, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT

On April 12th, 2021, starting at 6 p.m. (Romanian time), the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences (FSPAC), Babeș-Bolyai University, in partnership with the Romanian-U.S. Fulbright Commission is organizing an international workshop on the role played by the Fulbright Program towards the internationalization of higher education in Romania.

The workshop will bring together distinguished guest speakers from four major U.S. universities, representatives of Romanian-U.S. Fulbright Commission and of Babeș-Bolyai University/FSPAC. In addition to the invited speakers, we encourage all Fulbright alumni from BBU and other universities to join us for this interesting discussion. The event will be live-streamed on: facebook.com/fspac.ubb.

Babeș-Bolyai University and FSPAC have greatly benefited over the years from this excellent program. On the one hand, American Fulbright scholars coming to Cluj-Napoca have had a significant contribution to the institutional development of Babeș-Bolyai University not only in terms of research and teaching but foremost in terms of advancing internationalization. On the other hand, the Fulbright program has offered the opportunity to Romanian scholars to travel to the U.S. to conduct research and teaching, to partner with their American peers and to establish bonds that go beyond the program itself.
